Houserules

Dear Guest,

Thank you for choosing La Finca as your accommodation during your stay in Spain. Before you arrive, we ask that you read our arrival information and house rules to ensure you have a pleasant stay at La Finca.

Before your arrival:

Arrival time

Please let us and the Villa Manager know at least 14 days before your arrival how many people will be staying and what your arrival and departure times are. This is to ensure that the Villa Manager is there to welcome you and provide you with any necessary information. When you leave the airport or at least one hour before your arrival at La Finca (earliest check-in time 16:00), please text or call the Villa Manager as he does not live on site. If your flight is delayed, please let him know as well.

La Finca is a private villa

Please note that La Finca is a private villa and you will have neighbours. This means that noise must be kept to a reasonable level. Especially after 23:00 there must be no music or loud conversations on the terrace or around the pool. The owners have a responsibility to the neighbours and local authorities to abide by these rules.

Own risk

All facilities are used at your own risk. We, the landlord, cannot be held responsible for any accidents, injuries, loss or theft that occur during your stay. All external doors must be kept locked when leaving the property. You, the tenant, are responsible for reading our rental conditions and house rules and for informing your fellow travelers of the contents.

Water and household supplies

For drinking water you will need to buy your own bottles if you do not wish to drink tap water. It is advisable to take some water with you to La Finca when you arrive. If you are arriving late on a Saturday please note that supermarkets are generally closed on Sundays. We provide a limited supply of toilet paper, dishwasher tablets, detergents and hand soap. If you run out of any item you will need to buy more yourself.

Welcome package

If you wish, you can book a welcome package for €12 per person, which includes the first breakfast, coffee, tea and water (minimum 10 persons).

Towels and bed linen

All rooms are equipped with towels and bed linen. Kitchens are equipped with tea towels. You must bring your own bath towels for the beach.

Shopping

The nearest supermarket (“Mercadona”) is in Jávea, 2 km away. Most shops and supermarkets are closed on Sundays, so it is advisable to order a welcome pack or bring your own breakfast if you arrive late on a Saturday. There is one (small) supermarket open on Sundays: E Saladar (towards Cap De La Nau).

bail

The purpose of a security deposit is to ensure that funds are available from you prior to your arrival should the villa not be left in the same condition as when you arrived. If any items, furniture or equipment are broken or damaged during your stay, you will be asked to report this to the Villa Manager. Examples of things that may result in a security deposit charge:

Extra cleaning needed to clean an extremely dirty villa.

Repair and/or replacement of damaged furniture.

Repair and/or replacement of broken equipment or items.

Electricity above normal usage.

Replacement of permanently soiled sheets/towels.

Cleaning up and removing any rubbish left in the villa or on the grounds.

Failure to comply with our house rules.

Our advice is always to “leave the villa as you found it” to avoid any issues with the deposit. We will complete our inspection after the guest’s departure within 72 hours of your departure. An email notification will be sent to the guest with details of the deposit costs.

La Finca House Rules

Guests of La Finca are asked to read our house rules carefully, as violation of these rules may result in cancellation of the booking agreement and loss of the deposit.

A. Number of guests

The property may not be occupied by more people than stated in the booking confirmation, unless otherwise agreed (not even for a single event).

B. Sound

Outdoor music or noise is not permitted after 11pm.

C. General cleaning

To avoid ants and insects in your holiday home, please keep all areas clean at all times. Do not leave food or drinks unsealed or open. Cleaning equipment is available in both villas. On departure, the renter undertakes to leave the villas in a generally clean condition - please see our separate departure information in the villas (or information from the Villa Manager).

D. Waste

There is no rubbish collection in Jávea, therefore guests are responsible for taking all rubbish to the large grey bins along the main roads. For temporary storage there are bins in the car park. Take rubbish to the bins along the roads at least once a day to avoid odours and insects/animals. When leaving La Finca please ensure that no rubbish is left in the villas or on the grounds.

E. Opening and closing doors

To open and close the doors, you must pull up on the door handle before turning the key. Keep your keys safe, as loss of keys will result in the replacement of locks and you will be charged accordingly from your security deposit.

F. Furniture and parasols

Indoor furniture and soft furnishings must not be used outside on the terrace or by the pool. Parasols must be folded down at night and when leaving the site due to sometimes sudden strong winds. Outdoor chair cushions must be kept inside when it rains and/or when leaving the site.

G. Laundry

The laundry room has 3 machines: 2 washing machines and 1 dryer. Read the instructions before use. There are outdoor clotheslines and detergent is available in the laundry room. Make sure the laundry room door is always open when using the dryer, otherwise drying will not work!

H. Barbecue

If you want to barbecue, there is an outdoor kitchen with a gas barbecue (gas bottles are available). Remember to clean the barbecue between use and before departure.

I. Electrical equipment

You may not touch any of the main electrical equipment or mechanisms related to air conditioning, central heating, pool system or water without the owner's permission. You will be charged for any damage to the equipment and a service charge to reset the system.

J. No smoking or pets

Smoking is strictly prohibited in all indoor areas. Pets are not allowed on the premises due to guests with allergies.

K. Swimming pool

Please ensure that children are always supervised by an adult in the pool area. Do not leave children alone in the garden, pool area or on the roof terrace. The pool is only 1.4 metres deep, so NO DIVING. Use the shower on the terrace and remove sunscreen before using the pool. No more than 10 people are allowed in the pool at any one time and no food or drink is allowed.
